School rules are devised with regard for the health, safety and welfare of all members of the school community. If a school is to function efficiently, it is necessary that rules and regulations are clearly stated and enforced with consistency and wisely.
School Rules
Sanctions
The following strategies may be used to show disapproval of unacceptable behaviour.
Parents will not be contacted regarding minor indiscretions unless they are ongoing. Although incidents of misbehaviour are recorded the emphasis is on encouraging children to behave well and praise is given for commendable behaviour. Parents will be informed at an early stage if problems occur.
In the case of gross misconduct, the parents will be notified immediately and invited to call to the school by appointment, to discuss the behavior. Failure to do this will incur automatic suspension. If parents are contacted it is important that the teacher should have the backing of parents so that the pupil's attitude will change for the better.
We would ask you to find time to read the school rules and discuss them with your child/children, encouraging them to observe the rules, not as an impostiton but as advice, and necessary to provide a safe and secure environment for themselves and others.
