Our School
St Dominic's N.S. is a rural, mixed, national school situated in Kenagh, Co. Longford. It currently has an enrolment of 170 pupils.
There are 6 mainstream class teachers, 2 Special Educational Needs teacher It promotes the Catholic Ethos, encouraging the children to develop fully intellectually, physically, emotionally, spiritually and morally.
The present school was officially opened by the Minister for Education Mr Seamus Brennan on the 9th September 1992.
We now enjoy six mainstream classrooms and a resource room equipped with interactive white boards.
Outside, the school grounds have a large tarmac play area, school garden and football field. The children participate in a wide variety of sports including Gaelic football, swimming, soccer , hurling and athletics.
The school community of parents, pupils and teachers work closely together and strive to create a warm welcoming, atmosphere.
