We were a day early with our pancakes here at St. Dominic's this week. Fiona Egan visited the school on Monday to share her cooking skills and knowledge! Each class learned how to make the perfect pancake and had an opportunity to taste the savoury and sweet variety, before taking part in a very competitive pancake flipping competition! Such an enjoyable day for students and teachers. Thank you so much to Fiona for a truly memorable day. If you'd like to make your own pancakes at home you'll find the recipe in the gallery below!
Mrs. McCormick's class have been very busy producing lots of amazing art work recently, from creating their own fairytales to making lanterns for Chinese New Year! :-)
Ms. Lennon's class have been learning about the Sioux tribe, who were Native Americans. They made some really cool dream catchers as part of their work....
Ms. Finnan's class were studying the French Revolution recently in history. The class carried out their project in groups, with each member researching aspects of the revolution at home and in school. They compiled all their information and presented it on chart paper. Great work from all!

There were so many amazing entries that the judging panel found it very difficult to choose, but after much deliberation the winning entries from each class were selected. There is a slide show of the winners' drawings on the homepage....check them out!
